We cannot allow American foreign aid to be used to violate the human rights of people of any race, nation, or ethnicity. I will not fund or stand by silently when there is injustice.

In the streets of Detroit, every corner is a reminder of the civil rights movement and values are represented. My sister Rashida will always vote against funding countries, including Israel, that try to oppress those values.

Her endorsement from jstreet does imply that she won’t, given their requirements for who they endorse to support ‘the US special relationship with Israel’ - so funding. I sincerely hope that she will act as you say.

Because the root issue is Israel killing women and children in an apartheid state. Thinking that Hamas is the representation of Palestinians as dispersed as they are is truly turning a blind eye. Israel is a criminal state.
