Hey @TeamYouTube, a recent Guardian article suggests offensive superchats are donated to charity instead of being split between YT and the creator. Are you guys giving the entire donation to charity or just your cut and where can we find this in the ToS?

Surely it's still fraud though. They are selling a service where you can pay money to have your message highlighted in the chat. They are then not delivering that service.

If the message is still highlighted and they are only donating their part, there is nothing wrong here. I am really hoping they clarify soon.

They are not highlighted though. I was watching a live show on Monday morning and the text in some superchats was immediately removed but the money was still taken.

I haven't seen that happen yet. I am not doubting you, just not something I've seen. And this is more reason YT should clarify this.

You want to know the most insane part. It was someone typing the name of the African nation Niger! It was the call-in show
@MLChristiansen and Blonde do and the message was posted and disappeared half a second later. And I mean Thursday morning (for Aus) not Monday.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
Ah well that was part of their new, and now gone, automated deletion system.
