We must wake up and tackle this crisis! Our spending is out of control! The national debt exceeded $21 trillion for the first time on Thursday, a little more than six months after it hit first $20 trillion on Sept. 8.https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/national-debt-hits-21-trillion …

Did “both sides” push through a trillion and a half dollar tax cut for the rich? No? I didn’t think so.

We accrued 19 trillion in debt all without tax cuts and we have nothing to show for it.

Yeah, because Trump and not congress have voted and lobbied this country into debt... this problem existed long before trump. Wake up.

Who writes laws, votes on spending, etc etc...not the president, it's the house and Senate....congress... checks and balances are in place to keep all the power from being with one man. You want to point the finger, point the finger at those who write the legislation

The president proposes a budget, that legislature reconciles (they don’t have to follow it but when the same party is in contril,..) POTUS also can sign or veto laws congress submits. Pres plays a role in both.

Bush's had a deficit of $4 trillion in 8 yrs. Obama doubled that in 4 yrs then got a second term and took us to $19 trillion. Spending is the bigger issue.

Bush's never kept them off the books. The Iraq War did not actually start until halfway through his first term. However, Obama started fights in other places including Afghanistan, Syria and took covert actions in Africa as well which contributed to the additional money spent.

        1. Paying off pornstarts has nothing to do with this conversation 2. I did not vote for Trump and think he’s awful 3. Excessive spending contributed to most of that. It is mathematically impossible to balance the budget by raising taxes 4. Go Cats.

Funding wars for thirty years will do that. Also, there's that tax scam you were so excited about... Did I mention the bailouts for all of your rich banking friends? What's your party's plan? Cut entitlements? Raise taxes on what's left of the middle class? Sell the US to Russia?
