Then you should have stopped him before they gave away corporate welfare in the form of a tax bill.
Making our corporate tax rate close to Europe’s was exactly the point of that tax bill. Our companies were leaving for places that had lower taxes. The point was to keep jobs here for people like you.pic.twitter.com/eZKsEXNTOI
Yeah, that will work. Historically it always worked, right??
Yeah, company’s are actually leaving. The high tax rate worked to push them out.
Companies are leaving because of greed and a desire not to pay a livable wage to their fellow Americans. Their effective tax rate was always lower than it appears on paper. Giving the greedy more money rarely lessens their greed, so I don’t see them coming back any time soon.
The father of the livable wage FDR determined that a livable wage was 2/10 of 1% of what an executive makes. Livable wages are designed to make you feel better about making more money even though the standard of living will keep increasing to make minimum wage barely enough.pic.twitter.com/Yqt5GAXNRV
Hey @RandPaul, didn't you vote for the horrendous, debt raising tax cut bill? Hypocrisy isn't a good look
Rand Paul wants both taxes and spending cut so that debt isn't added, I don't see why many people like you don't get the point.
Instead he chose to support a bill that creates a giant deficit with no clear plan to address the shortfall. I don't see why you don't get the point
No actually he supported a bill that puts more money into the pockets of Americans with hopes that with a republican house and senate, they’ll be able to cut spending by a lot so that debt is not a factor. You still don’t see the point
Again, cut which spending? How irresponsible can you be to give vastly disproportionate tax cuts during an economic expansion, and then leave a deficit without a plan to deal with the gap in the first place? Where is Rand Paul's budget plan? What does it cut? Who does it affect?
Cut which spending? In my opinion, cut it all down to the point where we’re spending less then getting in revenue. As to Rand Paul’s budget plan herehttps://reason.com/blog/2018/02/06/rand-pauls-plan-to-eliminate-government …
"Cut it all down" isn't a plan. And cutting all agencies by 1% shows a lack of policy nuance that basically boils down to "I'm libertarian so uhhh just cut all the stuff" Budgets affect tens of millions' of people's livelihoods
It's not just government agencies, there's plenty of other meat. Are the pensions and retirement benefits of congress and other government workers really something that would affect us? It could be nice if we could at least follow the budget caps instead of going way over them.
Thank you for being the voice of reason.
You can’t say squat. YOU voted to add $1.5 TRILLION to the deficit. Hypocrisy thy name is GOP. #GOPTaxScam
The deficit will not be addressed by stealing people's money.
Absolutely. I didn’t say I agree with any of this. I don’t. I’m just saying it’s the height of hypocrisy that he’s raging about deficits when he voted for the tax scam.
Oh, I don't think so. The crappy tax bill at least stole less money from SOME people. This crappy budget steals it from ALL the people.
You're justifying this b.s?
