Senator Paul: There is NO oversight and no whistleblower protections for the excepted services (FBI, CIA, NSA, etc). I am fmr US naval officer, and fmr FBI unit chief (Name Checks) who reported fraud name checks, then fired. I've met with MANY on HILL http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/homeland-security/335208-the-case-for-protecting-americas-intelligence-agency#.WTSmFYd_54I.twitter … …

More than half of Americans earn less than 70k. This bill doesn't help most of us!!!
-
You guys really need to stop listening to CNN and Schumer. It helps people who make less than 70k by increasing the standard deduction. If you cared enough, you’d actually research what’s in the bill before you bash it. Only Democrats would complain about gov. taking less money.
-
Not exactly. It doubles the standard deduction but eliminates the personal exemption. There will be some taxpayers under $70k that see a tax increase. In future years the tax bill has a negative impact on low to mid income citizens.
-
For every one scenario you can give where this tax cut is a bad thing, I could give 10 where it’s a good thing. Honest question: Is this going to negatively impact your wallet? Because EVERYONE I know will have $1000-$1500 more take home money per year.
-
Enough for a new iPhone Awesome! The people passing this reform make 1500 plus a day. Maybe in he future we should have people making less than 70000k creating tax reform.
-
Kind of like Trump? Who doesn’t take a salary from the government? I agree that politicians make too much money and stay in the game longer than they should. I don’t know about you, but $1500 per year would go a long way at my house.
-
Your a fool trump has spent more on travel than any other president. He spends it in different ways. I could care less about him not taking his 400k when he is spending millions more on travel. Secret service hit their budget in August because of him.

Cornyn suggests it’s Dems’ fault the GOP tax plan isn’t ‘better’. He's right they should have been included
-
The big problem is the Dems refused to get involved with Tax reform just like Obamacare except one Dem.
-
Exactly...if they would quit being obstructionists and work WITH instead of AGAINST everything they would have a voice! THEIR FAULT & THEIR CHOICE IF NOT INCLUDED!

I’m your constituent. Zip 42539. You campaigned on not adding to the deficit. This bill adds $1.47 TRILLION to it. Vote how you told us you’d vote, Senator.
-
“I cannot in good conscience vote to add more to the already massive $20 trillion debt. I promised Kentucky to vote against reckless, deficit spending and I will do just that.” -Rand Paul
