I cannot in good conscience vote to add more to the already massive $20 trillion debt. I promised Kentucky to vote against reckless, deficit spending and I will do just that.pic.twitter.com/BUYqm91mli

Tax cuts — people keeping more of their money — are never the problem. The problem is spending. We should obey our rules, stop the deficit spending, and shrink government.

Lol this is completely nonsensical. The tax bill would cost $1.5 trillion over 10 years. The Bush tax cuts cost $5.6 trillion and are the single biggest driver of deficits. https://www.cbpp.org/research/federal-tax/the-legacy-of-the-2001-and-2003-bush-tax-cuts …pic.twitter.com/TdUSULT4KV

Mr. Paul you all had better pass this bill before you pass the Budget that pays your paycheck. I think all republicans and Democrats that hold progress up on all that has been put forth for you all were HIRED to do should be fired and replacements seated.

If you vote for tax cuts on a hope and a prayer spending cuts will follow, knowing damn well the odds are overwhelming that this won’t happen, then YOU are the problem. Irresponsible!

It's the wrong people keeping their money. WE THE PEOPLE are literally paying for corporations getting a tax cut. And if you think we're going to let you cut social security and Medicare to make up for the deficit, you'd better think again.

Rand Paul saw an opportunity for a change in a long corrupted tax code. He may have been too optimistic in hoping for spending cuts thereafter, but he was never in support for a deficit itself, even if it came with the package. It is not quite black and white.

Please don't cut education, healthcare, and food stamps. Because they are the basic human needs to survive and to have a future maybe better. Please reduce departments and military bases. Because we don't need so many of them! The terribly regulated lives are not safe and good!

Yes, Rand Paul has typically been in favor of respective cuts to military and foreign aid, as was his father. Unfortunately, I am not sure that it would be enough, and other senators do not seem to share the same sentiment.

I asked him if he learned it at Harvard or Hopkins, but he won't answer. I'm pissed.https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2017-12-15/this-tax-bill-is-a-trillion-dollar-blunder …
