Are you the same guy who talked about not passing lengthy bills quickly - a day delay for each 20 pages I believe?

I didn't know you can read 500 pages of legal text along with hand written notes that will have significant financial impact in less than 2 hours. It takes most average Americans just to shop for prices on cars. Sir, what kind of fool do you think we are?
-
If reading the text (let alone comprehend it) takes more than the time required to purchase a car, then I think it is only fair we do our due diligence and figuring out just what it is we are getting ourselves into. If you don't want a lemon for a car, you want the law be lemon?
-
I couldn't find the video but I believe Rand (when running for nomination) said bills should not be that long/complicated. If they are, there should be a delay in voting. One day delay for every 20 pages I believe.
-
That doesn’t mean he can’t vote for bills just because they are lengthy. That’s just preferred
-
there is nothing wrong with lengthy bills. there is something wrong when you have no time to properly assess what it is that is in the lengthy bill. if you can walk into a car dealership straight up not knowing anything about the car then you are a better person than i.

I tried to read the text of the bill but it was so messy and portions were cut off by the copy machines. I guess we sign bills just like how we sign TOS or EULAs on line: just click next and OK.

Thank you for your support of Americans living abroad senator! We appreciate your dutiful efforts to repeal
#FATCA. Our lives are being destroyed because of this evil law. But we also need#TTFI to be passed by congress.pic.twitter.com/1WjUOWuZID

I mistakenly believed that you cared about managing/reducing the deficit and not heaping excess debt on the backs of younger generations. Shame on me.

Paul - "I will continue to stand up for Kentucky families" Translation - I will continue to turn my back on Kentucky's working families and bow to the special interests who pay me who probably don't even live in Kentucky.
-
He does live in Kentucky ... but I am surprised that someone who argues for fiscal responsibility would stand behind a bill that will add over $1.5T to the national debt.

I fail to understand what happened to your amendment to repeal
#FATCA. Was it simply ignored or were other senators actively opposed to its repeal? Do they understand Americans can't bank? How could they NOT care? What gov would consciously make pariahs out of their own people? Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Why did you vote against giving yourself and others time to read the bill before you passed it? This doesn't sound like your best, most honest self to me.

You sold out and gave relief to one end. Every single corporation will receive a tax cut. Every middle class taxpayer will not. I’m a supporter but could not be more disappointed on the bill and how you passed it.
