How about removing marijuana from schedule 1 classification? It should not be lumped in with heroine and cocaine.

I believe that the President is working with Rand and some Democrats to pass a bill removing it from any federal classification. Sessions and Trump disagree on Marijuana and when Sessions gets the boot, we'll get our law passed.
-
Considering who his head of HHS is I don’t see that happening. Way too many swamp people still in power.
-
That's what worries me as well. Tons of pharmaceutical establishment people still in government. Should be a States right to begin with.
-
Yeah, the polls show a majority support decriminalization, but gotta declassify it first. Then one by one states will pass legislation either by measure or bills.

What is hemp?
-
Marijuana & Hemp are 2 different plants. Hemp is a food, replenishes the soil, & has industrial uses. Medical Marijuana found to have many uses when broken down. BUT CONGRESS still has both listed as Illegal
blocking Farmers from growing these. -
Hemp is not illegal, but it is regulated to ensure it has a low THC content.

CBD's from hemp really helps with pain issues and it is legal in all 50 states. It does not have any THC in it so you do not get high. Our dog sometimes has seizures and we give him a few drops of hemp oil and it stops the seizures almost emediatly.

We have to educate people Hemp products are not Cannabis. There were 25,000 Hemp products before the prohibition. From fuel to paints, clothing so many useful products that would make jobs & help farming industry
-
We could also educate people to stop caring about cannabis, seeing as how it’s about as harmful as a tulip. The “party of personal responsibility” should be on board with that

-
I would not want the driver next to me or behind me to be, or have been shortly before getting in the car, high on cannabis, any more than I would want them drunk.
-
Ignoring the plain reality that the two aren’t comparable in their level of inebriation, still, who on Earth is advocating to allow that?
-
No one is advocating to allow that, but to myself, personally, they are almost equal.
-
The research indicates differently. Alcohok demonstrably is much more dangerous than marijuana when it comes to driving. Personal opinions aren’t particularly meaningful when determining overarching policy decisions.

A pity that the opposition comes from Republicans.
