Part of having the security clearance “is need to know” and once they leave office “they don’t”! They are no longer part of the decision or policy making process. Republican/Democrat it doesn’t matter.

It's nothing but retaliation (and distraction). It could cause harm to national security bc current staff can't discuss classified info with them. It's really quite counterproductive. And stupid.
