Israel continues to enjoy total impunity for the system of apartheid it imposes on Palestinians - a system partly maintained through unlawful killings. The international response consists of little more than timid condemnation at best, unconditional support at worst.

The Indian government’s blocking of #BBCdocumentary reflects a broader crackdown on freedom of expression. The government used emergency censorship powers under the contested IT Rules, 2021 to compel social media platforms to take down the videos.

Seems like the world is finally realizing the extent of India's government violence and censorship. It's because of this that , the author of the incriminating Gujarat Files, is being prosecuted. Freedom of speech, and the soul of India, are on trial with her.

Here are the first 8 minutes of the new BBC documentary that Modi has banned. Watch it. Share it. Spread the word. Modi was “directly responsible” for the Gujarat pogrom of 2002 & Modi / BJP / RSS continue their atrocities against Muslims today.

I can't say I am surprised by Tharoor's comments about 2002. It's been like this for over twenty years: upper caste Hindus lecturing Muslims about how and when they should remember, as if Muslims themselves have no authority or agency on their own pain, memory, lives.

An incredibly damning report on Adani, the world’s third richest man, is now seeing his empire’s stocks drop by as much as 5%. A 2-year investigation found that the Adani Group has for decades engaged in a brazen stock manipulation and accounting fraud scheme of $218 billion.

The Indian government is going all out to silence the BBC documentary. From brazenly banning it on the internet to deploying forces outside universities that are planning to screen it. A huge self goal by Narendra Modi, the year he is hosting the G20 summit.

Days after India banned a BBC documentary that examines Prime Minister Modi’s role during deadly 2002 anti-Muslim riots, authorities are scrambling to halt screenings of the film in colleges and universities and restricting clips of it on social media.

Shashi Tharoor (rightly) demands reparations for British rule - which ended 75+ years ago - but everyone should simply move on from violence that killed thousands in 2002, where nearly every perpetrator is either out on bail or in power. Injustice is not a function of time.

“This is an event that happened 21 years ago, which people in India, including Muslims, feel we should now put behind..” Shameless but entirely expected from Tharoor. twitter.com/shashitharoor/…

Muslims must forget the Babri case, be the bigger person despite the 92 anti muslim pogrom. Muslims must forget what happened in 2002 in Gujarat and move on. Muslims must always forget the injustices inflicted on them in the interest of the country. We call it minority privilege

Youtube and "free-speech absolutist" cave to the Indian government's demand that they remove links to a documentary critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. What else is censoring for Modi's government?
