@asmamk Nashville polling places have been closed due to last night's Hurricane. Non effected locations have been selected to accommodate although they are overcrowded and without enough voting machines.

Election officials have mentioned that they have been awaiting on additional machines since 6 am. So many here either know someone who was or were directly impacted by this mornings Tornado, yet are still participating in today's primary.

UPDATE. We are now up to 8 machines total. Line is still very long. Easily 200+ people long.

EDIT: first tweet should read Tornado not Hurricane. It's been a long morning.

Total time - just under 2 hours. Special thanks to all the polling officials who remained kind and helpful throughout the process, to the Facebook group that brought in snacks and water bottles for those waiting in line, and for the community here in East Nashville.

Is this true throughout the state? Or is it only black/Latino areas in classic Republican voter suppression?
