Anyone else got a feeling that British press is writing more about Bercow's bullying allegations in one week than Cambridge Analytica, Russia interference, dark money, racist ads etc last 2-3 years?

This article by Colin Leys two years ago set out the systemic patient safety risks at the heart of the private hospital business model. Sadly the recommendations means very little will change

I exposed the Bristol heart scandal in in 1992. Many recommendations of the Bristol Inquiry could have been cut & pasted into the Paterson inquiry. People at many levels of the NHS & private sector knew what was happening but failed to act to protect patients.

So good to hear saying rights of journalists must be protected in the Commons. Perhaps he will have a word with to find out why I was banned from the Greenwich speech when the Times sketchwriter was allowed in

I for one am amazed that a Tory party who won’t publish a report showing they took £3.5m in donations from Russians and that Russia interfered in the referendum also won’t publish any economic assessment of their WTO plan which would absolutely devastate the economy.

This Govt’s attempts to control the media grow more dangerous - Threats to BBC’s funding - Banning ministers from some airwaves - Choosing which journalists can cover Number 10 briefings This from a PM who was once a journalist

There’s no schadenfreude to be had watching journalists who thought warnings about Johnson’s hatred of scrutiny & accountability were hysterical end up on the receiving end of it.

Just reading about a failing state where the leader is wilfully destroying the economy and refuses to release details of foreign interference and now wants to control which press has access to government briefings and sorry that’s us.

The benefits of being bilingual are well known; folk who feel uncomfortable around a foreign language need to deal with this in themselves. We’ve had more than one language in YK for centuries - Welsh and Gaelic!

It's like the elderly British lady who came back from her holiday in benidorm and complained to the tour operator because she didn't enjoy her holiday as there were too many Spanish people there 😓

No, that is not a deal as that would be giving into the racists. You must never apologise for speaking whatever language you want in Britain. Anything other is sending the wrong message out
