Bull, there are far fewer deductions for working class people. My overall tax burden increased regardless of withholding.

Why do people want big refunds? Isn’t it better to withhold properly?

To many it’s a mystery what will or won’t leave them owing, being owed or even steven. Financial literacy is not commonly taught and rarely do people pick it up as adults if they were left behind.
