I've lived with some of these men, tried to help change some of their minds, and been threatened by them They don't see women or non-white people as human beings

they are toxic masculinity in its most concentrated form its really bad, we need to change our society, raise our young men, change the minds of our not young men, so they can express their feelings in a healthy way, so they don't fall into these horrible pits of hatred

we can all take actions towards this everyday don't mock your male colleagues for having feelings, for doing things that 'aren't masculine', etc everyone is allowed to cry, to be happy, to show their emotions in healthy ways

these are the small ways we can start to shift the culture of the places we work, that we live men can wear nailpolish, or pink, or love their children, or care about other people, they can take notes and bake cookies it won't solve things tomorrow, but its a start

I have 100% been apart of the problem in the past. I have tried to keep my male friends and colleagues in strict male boxes. I was wrong, and I hurt my male friends and colleagues by doing this. I am committed to not doing that anymore.

Yeah. I worked with a guy who was upset/confused that women wouldn't date him, but would post on Facebook about wishing he was able to harm/shoot at drivers who gave him road rage - I didn't know if it was safe to point out that his barely controlled rage was what scared us away.
