I voted Remain, I’d vote remain again but we are leaving because the majority voted to do so. Remainers can moan that the coin upsets them, but how do they think Brexiteers felt for the last 3 years as you called them thick, racist and tried to overturn their vote?

Not sure why so many remainers are angry about the new . If they were to release a coin it would have exactly the same message. Seems like it's only bad because leavers (or a leave-oriented government) are doing it.

The scene retweeted here is one of the most striking scenes in the film.

Highly recommend . Great, engrossing, gut-wrenching film. And the cinema experience really does make a difference with a film like this, it has to be seen on the big screen to really appreciate it.

This man has gained 50,000+ followers in less than 24 hours. And a huge amount of free publicity... All because he told the truth, stood his ground, and didn't crater to the mob like the usual cowards. Don't apologise for honesty or compromise for modesty.

Sir Roger Scruton here, in a very personal and moving portrait of his 2020. What happened to him at a time of ill health was unforgivable. It marked a fight back (thanks to ) against the censoring of conservative intellectuals out of public debate in our country.

Who ever becomes leader will have to contend with huge internal arguments about whether they keep aspects of Corbynism or move towards a more New Labour inspired vision. The party and personnel have changed so much it's hard to imagine resolving these issues soon.

No party has won an election from such a low base level of seats. And deciding what labour stands for, and where it stands on the wide spectrum of the left, will take time.

Keir Starmer leading race to be labour leader. He's definitely my favourite candidate and respected by many across parliament. But bringing labour back to power will be a 10 year project. It seems wasteful to elect Keir now, only for him to lose in 5 years time.

This lovely thread of historical objects includes this touching sight, reminds me of the Arundel Tomb with added religious politics. View the whole thread to see other great artefacts.

Although much as I loved Puddle Lane, I soon moved on to another series of stories by the same author, Tim and the Hidden People. Gave me a taste in fiction for the eerie and mysterious that has never left me.

Zealously collected the books as a child in the 80s, and almost had the full coloured set. Must be buried in a box in my mother's loft somewhere I imagine...

Nice surprise to see Puddle Lane trending on Twitter, on account of Neil Innes (who played the magician) passing away. Loved the books and the TV series when I was younger.

3 years ago this week one of my all time favourite letters was sent in to the Financial Times. In the shadow of the 2019 election it finds new resonance. Three years of failing to find a meaningful reply to the shocks of 2016 now reflected in a thumping majority for Johnson ...

Following tonight’s devastating election results, it’s time for the left to reflect. 😞 We have clearly failed to win over the hearts and minds of our fellow citizens. The obvious conclusion is... we didn’t call them racist often enough.
