If Australian aboriginals are the oldest civilisation on earth, this has to be incorrect...?? 🤷♂️

I took this as evidence that the oldest civilizations would be in Africa. If anything, the split where some people migrated to Australia while some move up to SE Asia would make those two similar aged cousins.

These animations answered questions I had over how Aboriginal Australians came to be, or how the southern Philippines, which can look more similar to Aboriginal Australians, can be so close but so different from central and northern Filipinos, which look more islander or SE Asian

Did Neanderthals (or other sapiens) really never make it to Australia and the New World? And if not was it due to some impassable sheet of ice? I would be very surprised if pre-humans never created rafts.
