In the navy, I worked on DIFAR that incorporated this. Dreadful. Screen input had to be calibrated daily.

I'm trying to fathom the number of car wrecks that probably initiated. It was way ahead of its time and people just weren't ready for that kind of tech. Plus it had no safety factor. It could be used while driving if I remember correctly.
