After a flight lasting 14 hours, 56 minutes, during which Amelia contended with strong northerly winds, icy conditions and mechanical problems, she landed in field at Culmore, north of Derry, Ireland.

She landed near me in Burry Port. There is a memorial to the event in the harbour.
