Can't even remember when I last saw a proper copper heatsink. 90% I have around me have at max a little copper slug or vapor chamber in the middle and the rest is aluminium.

i never relised they made them this way, for some reason i always thought they were milled!

That was unexpected! I assumed they were milled or cast. Are aluminium heatsinks made the same way?
