I remember when I was 10yo, I'd look at the map and wonder why one side of South America seemed to fit the west side of Africa. I would spend hours assembling different continents. To me, it was just a coincidence and a puzzle and I had no idea about the continental drift theory.

Flat earthers will deny this. Apparently they've never seen cold milk poured into hot coffee. This visualization gave rise to plate tectonics coupled with Naval mapping of the sea floor.
