@RainbladeStudio Pretty much, but it's hard to manage all those subprojects without everything seemingly grinding to a halt sometimes... :-D

@OlofsonArcade I can imagine. Even with a team we still seem to grind to a halt sometimes. Ha ha.

@RainbladeStudio Everything takes three times as long as expected, even when taking that into consideration! ;-)

@RainbladeStudio So, what are you working on? First impressions of the blog suggest there will be running and shooting involved. ;-)

@OlofsonArcade Haha, yes, lots of running and shooting. An overhead shooter inspired by Smash TV, with a twist, for mobile devices.

@RainbladeStudio Sounds like fun! :-) What tools are you using? (Considering mobile, but I'd probably need a JIT or native compiler...)

@OlofsonArcade We are using the Unity3D engine, which makes things easy as far as releasing on different platforms.

@RainbladeStudio I've been considering Unity and other tools, but I'm a bit nervous about closed tools - and well, I like engine coding! :-D

@OlofsonArcade Haha, to each their own. Unity is what my team and I learned in school, and we liked it a lot, so we went with it.

@RainbladeStudio Yeah! :-D I've been coding for almost 30 years - and with 2D it's often a draw between learning tools and rolling your own.

@RainbladeStudio Basically, you're making some kind of investment - and taking some risks - no matter how you go about it. :-)

@OlofsonArcade Yup It's a risk. But hopefully turns out to be worth it. And 30 years! Wow. You must be pretty good then. :)
