I’ve heard talk about creating a Patriot Party. It’s a bad idea. All it would do is elect Dems by splitting our vote while they stick together. Example: Congressional race in 2020: D: 47% R: 53% Same race 2022: D: 47% PP: 27% R: 26% The answer: Elect better R’s in primaries.

I saw that very differently because there were more than 2 parties already and UKIP was pulling some directly on Brexit while Labour stood with remain so it was easier to pull from left. I don’t see an issue like Brexit that would pull as hard. Maybe China but

My understanding is that insiders pick Conservative party candidates in the UK, where as everyday registered Republican voters vote for Republican candidates in primaries after public campaigning. No need for new party in the US. Just need a patriot GOP movement for primaries!
