This is why even conservatives I know who consider themselves informed … aren’t.
It’s interesting to me how “conservative” news sites always link to MSM as their sources, when often we report the news before the likes of CNN, WSJ, etc. Lots of conservative aggregators link to us. But the self appointed standard bearers of the movement never do. Interesting.

This is due to the collective mentality. They continue to subdue critical thinking by calling it conspiracy theory.

Partly because if MSM says it the lefties in the audience should believe it is true. Lefties never listen though because their bias won’t allow them.

Many of them are still worried about what msm says about them. In reality they shouldn't be giving them any views and should be helping to lift up other conservative voices and platforms and in so doing, build an alternative ecosystem

Valid point, but to be fair part of it is your opponents can't argue with you if you use their own sources. If I link to you or Breitbart or something, they just go "I'm not going to believe rightwing propaganda." But the same words coming from CNN/MSNBC? They have no retort.
