Without anonymous sources many things that aren't false would go unreported.
Or people would just have to find the courage to go on the record? If their info is that important, they should take a moral stand. Not hide behind lazy reporters.

If people followed your line of thinking Nixon would have gotten away with Watergate. There's no way a deputy FBI director would have gone on the record with that stuff.
