And I am an American and a republican. Hence my lack of concern for a leader of the British Empire. I wish Churchill more actively fought fascism in the 1930s and was more competent in the Norwegian campaign, of course.

Your knowledge of the British constitution appears to be as solid as your knowledge of history. Subjecthood was replaced with citizenship almost a century ago. But comparing historical successes of nations, Britain’s monarchy-driven empire has far outlasted your republic.
