I actually disagree with this part of the Trump speech.
Leftism isn’t an attempt to reverse the American Revolution.
It’s the idealistic conclusion of liberal revolution. Just like the French.

I disagree. The revolutionaries of 1776 understood that powerful government always erodes civil liberties, they would be appalled by socialism and were appalled by the totalitarianism that came from the French revolution.
If they were appalled by it; why were they allied with it?
