The British media is trying to cancel a conservative historian because he said the word "damn" in an interview.

It's obvious to anyone who understands language that Starkey wasn't calling them "damn blacks" but rather, was using "damn" as an emphasis on the point that there aren't dwindling numbers of black people as a result of "genocide." Could he have worded it better? Sure. So what?pic.twitter.com/ftR5vtoVnE

I thought this when I heard it but I. The current climate of you say ‘damn blacks’ you’ve not got a leg to stand on. Should have known better.

He makes some good points but seems to lose track of the conversation at points. Whatever was going on in his head you simply can't say things like that under any circumstance and it is nigh impossible to defend.

He speaks the same as I hear so many people speak when they are comfortable using "damn" or "hell" in conversation ... the words slip in at the oddest of places in their sentences. He doesn't sound racist in this video and people need to grow up.

My dad used to use ‘old’ in the same way. Everyone one was ‘old John’ ‘old Dave’ etc. Even when they were 20 years younger than him
