No London Mayor has been a “success.” Livingstone was Commie trash. Boris was néolibéral trash. Sadiq is Islamist trash. Scrap the whole idea. It’s a failure. Let London be run for the country, not for the bankers and liberal who (sometimes) live there.

Depends what you mean by cost. Financial? Maybe. Culturally? No.
To be fair, he has almost had to abandon the big project, Brexit, he had planned for, and instead struggle with the unexpected COVID. Rather than getting engaged with London, I am afraid a lost cause, I rather he dealt with HOL & BBC.
