The owner said: “We were very surprised to hear the police were investigating it as a hate crime. I can’t see them arresting the wind. “It happened a few weeks ago when the wind was really strong. No one did it, it just happened by accident.”
“Police were alerted to the sign by witnesses who spotted the missing letters and posted pictures of it on Facebook.” 100:1 the witnesses were white.
