Lol are some of you really falling for the “TRUMP’s POLLING IS BAD!” trick again?

Pro tip: If they surveyed 500 people, mostly on cell phones, and with a 7% margin of error... it’s GARBAGE.

And if they survey only landlines like Rasmussen, or the online polls Trump loves and touts, which can be easily manipulated...or polls quoting only approval rating within your own party? And over 96% percent of American adults own a cell phone, so hard to see how that matters.

Owning a cell phone is one thing but having a cell phone on you at all times and picking up unknown numbers is not something older, more likely, voters do.

That’s anecdote, not evidence. I know a number of tech-savvy older people who keep their phone on at all times. More tech-savvy people are equally likely to use things like RoboKiller to block such calls.

Sorry Stephen, no. I’m actually talking about proven things in the field of polling. YOU are citing anecdotal evidence. ⬇️pic.twitter.com/jnvc4dvUp6

Yes, that was the point. My statement carries equal evidentiary weight to yours, which is to say, none, because anecdote isn’t evidence.

Well actually anecdotal evidence *is* a form of evidence but again, I’m not citing anecdote. By all means speak to some pollsters if you like. Do some research. I’ve written thousands of words on this.

Anecdote is not a form of evidence in statistics because it represents a sample size of 1. And a thousand words is roughly two sides of letter-size single spaced paper, so not much impressed by that. 😁

In which case you’re admitting you’ve no idea about the subject matter and yet continue to claim expertise because you don’t believe something. This is why you got 2016 so wrong.

You have no idea who I am, so you can’t know that. Look up the Latin etymology of “prejudice”.
