      It has to do with your claims about being "colonized." I think that was pretty obvious. Were your parents born in places that used to be part of the British Empire, or nah?

      Hey cool, but were your parents born in the remnants of the British Empire or not? I'm not my parents either, but I'm not going to pretend that their respective backgrounds didn't have an impact on my upbringing or my identity.
