Is someone building a comparison site for domestic vs foreign goods? It would serve as a major boon to local economies to have an app which could scan a product and suggest a locally sourced alternative.

Would it? Start small with basic home goods. Build it out as demand increases. I reckon you could get $1m on Kickstarter for something like this.
