PPE shortages in the UK aren’t just a basic supply/demand issue. They’re a distribution issue, too. Centralised buyers and distributors are allocating PPE evenly, rather than focusing on places with greater need. Because that’s what centralisation does.

and the free mkt in US fixes that? Seems only folks without a problem are those who have a Bismarck Model single payer with free mkt supply of services and goods. The Beveridge Model (NHS) is failing. The US free mkt approach is an insult to citizenship

Much more likely is that the NHS, after taking government advice, were not ready for the scale of the demand. I'd take centralised, universal healthcare over any other options. Every time.
