PPE shortages in the UK aren’t just a basic supply/demand issue. They’re a distribution issue, too. Centralised buyers and distributors are allocating PPE evenly, rather than focusing on places with greater need. Because that’s what centralisation does.

Theres a lot of admiration on twitter for the German health system and how they have coped but ask if those supporting it would like to move to their system which is paid for by a combination of statutory and private health insurance and it goes very quiet
