“Guidelines published last Nov redefined high blood pressure, also known as hypertension, as a reading of 130 on top or 80 on the bottom. The standard used to be 140 over 90. The % of U.S. adults with high blood pressure jumped from 32% under the old definition to nearly 46%.”

And that doesn’t account for other common complicating conditions like diabetes & athsma. Many elderly people need care, which means they risk contact. People are acting like we can stick all the retirees in their houses for 18 mos while the rest of us proceed as normal.
