      Yes. When she says “continue exactly what we are doing but even better” that doesn’t leave a lot of room to believe the model inaccuracy is because we mitigated better than planned.

      Actually Birx contradicted herself a number of times on this. She called what we are doing now “full mitigation” and while close, it’s not “full”. So taking one line of her comment isn’t quite the same as interpreting and understanding the models.

      Yes, she subsequently contradicts herself in later briefings because her motivation is to ensure our compliance with mitigation. The “mitigation is working even better” as explanation for model shortcomings supports that.

      Nope. She contradicts because she’s originally trying to push the narrative that this *Is* smashing the curve which it wasn’t.

      I do not have an understanding of the interworkings of the model. I don’t understand the interworkings of a cow either, but I still know when shit is coming out of one end of it.
