Cmon let’s be honest here. Smart people also knew the models were bad because the data going into it was bad. Ok, but if a model from reliable saying millions may die becomes public that places no pressure on the government? That’s very naive.

Depends what you mean by “bad”. Smart people knew they were worst case scenario models, sure. Because people need the impetus to act. But they weren’t all that informed govt policy.
