The models took into account social distancing. They were wrong, that’s it. Honestly, I think they overestimated on purpose. Better to go high and be wrong then go low and be wrong.
There’s always a lag in these numbers, hence the declines. Every year’s modelling does that until data input catches up. Don’t be fake news.

There is not going to be that great a lag. Even now, 450K reported cases (18K deaths) & since you can go in with a hang nail and be counted as a Covid case, we truly don't know what the real numbers are. The models were wrong, the hysteria was irresponsible
