There are still people out there who think “it’s not that bad” and/or “it’s just the flu”. They think a 200k+ case load & last nights numbers were just fine. Projecting their own “fail cast” as POTUS reminds us to take this seriously. Imagine being this thick headed:https://twitter.com/arabbitorduck/status/1245402383963783169 …

It's been four days since @RaheemKassam first said our hospitals would be beyond capacity in seven days, then aggressively changed it to three days when I set a reminder, then blocked me. Wrong again, Raheem. We'll check again in four days for the original seven-day failcast. pic.twitter.com/djybPU5NQJ

Nothing is new. Everything is normal. The only difference is that the TV told you it's the end of the world.https://twitter.com/EconomicsJunkie/status/1245166472378359808 …

1/ Based on peer reviewed multi year research up to 15% of flu patients every year have a #coronavirus in them (https://imgur.com/5YBYgqW ), so up to 7.5m Americans.

I personally am happy your prediction was wrong, but it doesn’t change the larger point. In places where it has already spread its bad. The way to keep making your predictions untrue is to mitigate the spread in other places. So let’s all just do that please.

The Flu Crew can’t be bargained with. They can’t be reasoned with. They don’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And they absolutely will not stop, ever, until we all get coronavirus.

When this is over we will be able to look at the medical versus economic cost. I don’t think that analysis will be kind to your position.

How many trucks did it take to bring in the straw for that strawman? Nowhere did I state that "it's not that bad" or "it's just the flu." Imagine being that disingenuous and thin-skinned.

We’ve been lied to and mislead continuously. While I’m not questioning the severity of it, I’m skeptic about the numbers. They’re lumping all flu/pneumonia death numbers into the Covid death numbers. Flu deaths are down 8%🤔. Numbers aren’t adding up.

Evidence for the flu thing? If the pneumonia *is* a corona related they add it yes. Same as they do for influenza.
