The iPhone 11 Pro Max costs around $400 to make. It begins at retail for $1,100. Don’t let anyone tell you the price would HAVE to go up to make it in the US. The profit margin would have to come down.

In truth the US market means less to Apple now than when they launched the iPhone. That’s why it’s not “coming back”. And that’s because we stood idly by while Western politicians allowed en masse outsourcing to China etc so they could get their commission.

Respectfully disagree on this. The US has the ability of producing the skill set. We still have quite a number of truly skilled workers. The issue is, these jobs disappeared. Look at our tech industry - American programmers are having to train their Indian H-1B workers now.
