the point I'm making is that Italy haven't exactly done a very good job have they?The failure of the British government to ensure social distancing and to get ahead of this should tell you enough.

Social distancing won't help if a significant amount of us don't come out the other end immune. It would only take 1 person to bring it back into the country and then all of a sudden it's like groundhog day and we're back where we started.

Also it's not the governments job to enforce social distancing. We can do it by choice and of course I agree we should.
