For the gambling industry a problem gambler is one who regularly wins. Fortunately the industry is able to deal with this problem by closing accounts or restricting the maximum bet available to these troublemakers. It shares information on them too to stop the problem spreadinghttps://twitter.com/NAOorguk/status/1233270664695513088 …

What is fortunate about the gambling industry closing the account of a problem gambler who you described as a guy who wins regularly and sharing his info so as to block him with other gambling sites? Or didn't you read your tweet twat?

He’s sayin FB the bookies see ‘problem’ gamblers as ones who are in the know and win a lot. Those accounts get shut down because bookies don’t want the business. Meanwhile they let ‘mug’ punters gamble their way into debt without a care in the world

He said “fortunately” the gambling industry can deal with such people by shutting down their accounts and limiting their bets. So I asked what’s “fortunate” about it? Would you rather the industry keeps taking peoples money? My grouse is with the use of the word fortunate!

Right, so it’s fortunate that betting companies have the luxury of preventing people betting who don’t lose money, but cost them it. A customer who is losing money will not have the same fortune. No bookmaker will say ‘listen mate, you’re losing a lot here, let’s close your acct’
