The fact that Blizz set Reddit ablaze and replaced echo with “repeatable this turn” because they only wanted echo to exist in one set and then just gave the entire player base a free echo minion outside of the echo set is such a good meme.

This is the thing I'm most confused about. The evergreen vs. set-specific keyword rules have stayed 100% consistent since The Grand Tournament until literally this one card.

I think their current philosophy is to not adhere to syntax and keyword consistency just for the sake of it. If (like witch's brew) spelling echo out looks clean and readable, go for it. If it makes for a wall of text (like new Leg) that might discourage reading, use the keyword.

It's still not an evergreen keyword. Since it'll rotate with Boomsday, we won't have that lingering keyword for a year (which is the biggest downside of keeping it on Witches Brew) and it's a fun callback to Hagatha + Boom working together.
