Playing in one last Vegas Masters Qualifier today. Most likely my last chance at glory this year, because I can't very well justify a trip across the globe for it. I decided to bring these beauties.pic.twitter.com/6HE1P3FSbT

Anyway, won round one 2-0. Opponent was playing the same ladder Zoo 3 times over. Game 1 we did our normal mountain Giant Conjurer calling things. Game 2, turn 4 Magic Carpet + 1cc guy +coin + 1cc Sea Giant took the board and never gave it back.

Went a quick 0-2 in round two, versus Bomb Hunter. That's always a rough matchup, but opponent built it well to handle both big individual threats and small stuff, so I wasn't sure how to attack it and definitely misplayed a bit in parts, too. Oh well.

Importantly, my opponent was both a high legend player and a really nice person who seemed genuinely hyped to be playing in the tournament and to chat about decklists and stuff. Cool person that I'm glad I met. That puts me like +8 on cool people versus shitty people in opens.

I’ve heard bad stories but I personally never had a bad experience with another player in one of the qualifiers. Glad you’re seeing mostly the same.

Think I’ve had one bad experience, and that was because I spotted my opponent was playing the wrong deck list and reported it to admins. Opponent made me feel like the bad guy afterwards then snap left at end of game

Not your bad, you played by the rules. Even if it was an accident that’s how it goes.
