So the Tories had a vote for leader in 2016 & now they’re saying they got it wrong & want a new vote? Imagine.
Was there a vote in the end? Didn’t everyone else drop out paving the way for May to lead the party?

There were two rounds of voting, some dropped out, others lost. It was down to her or Leadsom in the final vote. Leadsom dropped out rather than face an obvious defeat and May, having lead the previous two rounds of voting, took the prize.
