Please John don't compare Ireland to what is going on in the USA right now. For all their failures our leaders don't incite hate or riots

But that is literally what is happening. A young black man is shot dead just last week. We have white nationalists storming the streets over lockdown. I mean sure, they might not be raising a coup in the Áras but the main sentiment and root cause is still there.

I agree with John. We may not be there but the pattern is there just like it is in UK & USA. If we don’t recognise it for what it is it gradually becomes worse. Politicians need to focus on facts & policies not cat calling & personal digs.

There is a lot of needless race baiting being conducted by fanatics/opportunists via social media. Some of it gets called out for the divisive effluent that it is. A vast amount of it is still getting uncritically applauded as 'progressive', 'compassionate' or 'social Justice'
-
Exactly, Leo was opportunistically using divisive politics on social media to gain the support of the white, male, middle class electorate.
