I've tweeted for many years about how awful Richard "RMS" Stallman is - the pedophilia, the ableism, the misogyny. Inevitably, each time I do, dudes examine my receipts & then say "all those incidents are from years ago! he's changed now!" NOPE.https://medium.com/@selamie/remove-richard-stallman-fec6ec210794 …

To me it matters that people who lead movements or organizations are not dangerous people who we can't trust. This is horrifying and I 100% agree with

RMS is the only person we can trust to lead the FSF. His commitment to free software is so strong it's almost off putting. What views (that don't actually affect anyone, barely anyone knows RMS anyways) he holds are irrelevant.

Replying to @RaggyWaltz @ScottAShipp and
If his views are irrelevant then how will he choose where to lead the FSF? Based on someone else's views? Nonsense.

I meant views on topics that aren't linked with software. His views on free software are rock solid, and he's the biggest reason why we can enjoy libre software. Why do you have to insert identity politics into everything?
