There should be more housing and resources, but money is being wasted by nonprofits with no accountability. End the fraud and mismanagement. SF paid developers $2.5m for each of the thirty HUD section 8 renovations. Where did it all go?!

To clarify, the $2,500,000 (that's $500,000 more than HUD typically allows) is for the developer and not the cost of renovations.

Rafael, pouring more money toward homelessness is not a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, it's business as usual. Are there specific outcomes we can expect if Prop C passes? Or any accounting of the last billion dollars we spent?
-
And I assume City Hall will continue to keep the SF housing market an economics-free zone, so housing will continue to get more expensive. Why should a rational voter subsidize more aid for the homelessness when leadership continues to duck the very obvious solutions?
-
And don't get me wrong, I very much want to be a believer. It's just not responsible to take other people's money at gunpoint without asking the hard questions about impact and accountability.
