Not all hate crimes are terrorism. The Charleston Church shooting isn’t terrorism, and from what we know so far, this shooting isn’t terrorism either, and is instead a hate crime.

We don’t even know if it was a hate crime or not. I would “assume” also, but I’d rather wait before throwing out accusations. My point was THIS is what we do. Instead of these events bringing us together as a nation, as they once did, they divide us further apart

I completely agree, but as a criminal justice major, definitions and such are important. Calling everything terrorism takes away from the meaning of the word.

It wasn’t done to get across a political or religious message. It was done as an act of hate.

Technically it can be listed as terrorism under the definition. He said it was to incite fear or to push his views forward. Luckily my city rejected that view of his.
