Voluntary returns is a welcoming sign/news. I hope this is a beginning of a new page and a message of hope to all other IDPs countrywide.
About 200 IDPs have left Wau Town this afternoon on their way back to Bessilia County #SouthSudan. This is the first batch of internally displaced persons leaving the UNMISS PoC and returning to their homes in Mboro payam of Bessilia County @unmissmedia @RatomirPetrovic

“Valuing life isn't a weakness, devaluing it is.” Living in PoC is stressful & many South Sudaneses want to make it back to their homes. Yet, I hope nothing bad happen to them in the coming few months. South Sudan is going through a very volatile political environment right now

& the risks of leaving PoC should be explained thoroughly before allowing people to leave. Human lives can’t be used as experiment in an attempt to prove a peace that may not hold.
